Measure and draw outlet locations on the paneling. Drill the pilot holes with a spade bit and finish the outlet cutout with a jig saw.
Dry fit the paneling to wall, marking edges of the bamboo wall paneling on the wall for a reference when applying adhesive.
STEP 2: Adhere the bamboo wall Paneling
Use heavy-duty construction adhesive applied with 1/8″ U-notched trowel.
Apply about two tubes of mastic per each panel, and spread it out using the trowel making sure to pull the adhesive all the way to the edges. Work fast because the adhesive sets in about 10 minutes.
Put up the first bamboo wall panel. Start at the center of room so you end up with equal-sized pieces on both ends.
STEP 3: Cut the End Pieces
Cut the end pieces to size using a rail-guided circular saw with an 80-tooth carbide blade. This protects the edges of the panel so the edges of the thin bamboo wall paneling don’t splinter.
STEP4: Make Final Adjustments
Use a shim to make adjustments.
Use a hole saw to make cutouts for light fixtures.
